Abstract
We will describe the conservation status of Sonoyta pupfish (Cyprinodon macularius) and longfin dace (Agosia chrysogaster) in the Agua Dulce reach of the Rio Sonoyta in Sonora, Mexico We will also describe the current distribution and status of these two threatened species in refuge habitats created at various locations in northwest Sonora Ongoing threats to both species will be described and future management suggestions will be given to ensure the persistence of these endemic fish species in northwest Mexico
