ABSTRACT

(POSTER PRESENTATION) The focus of this presentation is to demonstrate advances in the study of the Poeciliopsis gracilis complex, and discuss systematics and biogeography of the group. The distribution of this species is the Grijalva- Usamacinta drainage in the southeast of Mexico. Comparisons with other species of the same genus used as the outgroup complement the discussion of this important group.

RESUMEN

(PRESENTADO COMO CARTEL) El objetivo de este trabajo es mostrar los avances en el estudio del complejo Poeciliopsis gracilis, discutiéndose aspectos de la sistemática y biogeografía. La distribución de esta especie se localiza en el sistema Grijalva- Usamacinta, en el sureste de México. Se realiza la comparación con otras especies del mismo género como grupos externos que complementa la discusión de este importante grupo.
