Railroad Valley is located in central southern Nevada. All aquatic habitats
are springfed. Fishes include Railroad Valley springfish (Crenichthys
nevadae), and several possible tui chub subspecies (Gila bicolor ssp.).
Major threats to these fishes include habitat modifications, exotic fish, and
groundwater mining.

jpeg An assortment of exotic fish occur in Big Warm Spring. These include
channel catfish, carp, mollies, guppies, and probably gambusia. Is it any wonder
Railroad Valley springfish (Crenichthys nevadae) are now rare in this
spring?
